Discovery Green Flea / Downtown Houston

I officially have my first market announcement!  I will have my wares at the Discover Green Flea in Downtown Houston on Saturday, October 15, 2011!  More information on location can be found at http://www.discoverygreen.com/discovery-green-flea

I am super excited but nervous at the same time.  This will be my first show so I’m not sure what exactly to expect but I’m sure it will be fun   Hopefully I will get to meet a lot of new people and get new ideas on more amigurumi items!

Frankie Stein Now Complete

I ♥LOVE♥ him!  He came out so much better than I pictured and as always, more pictures are posted in the gallery.

I am hoping to have a monster “collection” ready for the Halloween season.  This collection will include Dracula & a mummy.  Stay tuned as I will have something to show very very soon…hopefully

 

Busy As A Bee

Although it may seem that I’ve been slacking a bit,  I’ve actually been keeping myself busy as a bee.  I’ve been working hard on my inventory of Calaveras, Bloodshot Eyeballs, and a couple of commission items.  Not to mention, I didn’t want to bore everyone here with a ton of picture of the same items.

It was actually a little harder to get a good picture with the plastic than I thought but I think this does it justice…hopefully   Btw, more pictures of the newer Calaveras can be seen in the gallery.

I hope to have a few more pictures of NEW items soon!  I am finally working on the Zombie Elephant today so that should be finished and photographed soon.  I should also have a new Monkey to debut within the coming weeks as well.

Apologies

I just wanted to apologize for leaving anyone waiting to see the new CGC packaging hanging.  I did get the bag headers on Friday afternoon and got super busy being a domestic goddess (IE. cooking, cleaning, laundry, etc…)  I did take pictures on Saturday morning but then the hubby asked if I wanted to go shopping…well what you think happened? Craft store here I come lol  Of course posting the pictures was put off until Sunday because I had a grrrls night out with the BFF that night.  Unfortunately, I got a killer head cold on Sunday and have been out of commission until today.  I should have a few pictures posted this evening.

The packaging came out okay…not as close to the color as I wanted, but that can be adjusted very easily the next round.  I do have few other minor adjustments that will be made but I am happy with the overall look.

On the amigurumi front, I have come up with a new look for the eyes of my Calavera / Sugar Skull ornaments.  I will be packaging these in a 3 pack for the upcoming holi-daze.  These are going to look great on Halloween & dark themed X-mas trees.  I actually had to keep one for myself for the rear view mirror of my car.

Mind you, this picture doesn’t have the new “eyes” but some roses I found at the craft store.  I will have pics posted of a full set with the news eyes soon…I promise
