Down To The Wire

So we’re getting down to the wire and closing in on my Avon Walk For Breast Cancer Houston fundraising efforts.  I have just a little over a month (37 days from today to be exact) to reach my $1800 goal.  I am proud to say that I’m a little over half of that goal YAY!

In a effort to reach the full goal, my husband has set up a couple dates at a local pizza eatery where we will have a couple bands play for donations (more info on these dates coming soon).  Also from now until April 21st, 100% of the proceeds from EVERY item sold on the CultGrrrl Creations Etsy page will be donated to the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer Houston 2012.  So please, stop on by and get yourself a doll (or 2, or 4) while helping the cause http://cultgrrrl.etsy.com

Half Way There…

As most people know, CultGrrrl Creations donates 20% of all sales to the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer Houston 2012 walk.  In order to participate I must raise a minimum of $1800 and I’m half way there!  I would like to ask my blog followers to please help me reach my goal by donating ANY amount by visiting the Avon Walk website at this location.  Remember, no donation is too big or small   I will be walking 39.3 miles in the span of two days throughout Houston on Saturday, April 20th – Sunday, April 21st and really appreciate everyone support!

I was sent the link to my Avon Walk for Breast Cancer fundraising page yesterday!  I will be adding the percentages raised from the CultGrrrl Creations sales the the page on a monthly basis to help keep everyone up to date on my progress.  Btw, I am NOT opposed to anyone wanting to just make a donation without purchasing from CGC *ahem, hint, hint*

Progress Is Being Made!

I finally finished one of the last three requested death dolls and half of another monkey-key last night!  I was very surprised at how fast one of my monkey-key’s sold so I had to make another one in the same multicolored yarn.  Pics of both the already sold monkey-key and death doll are posted in the gallery.

On another note, I just realized that I also forgot to post the picture my husband took of me & Jennifer (the CultGrrrl Creations donation recipient).  She asked that I hold up the poster she made to inform people of the walk.  I know I’ve said it before but it was really a great feeling to make the donation and I can’t wait to walk again!!

Anyhoo, I will be posting more pictures of my progress and should have a few new designs coming soon!  I also want to get on adding another video tutorial and / or free pattern soon as well.
