Progress Is Being Made!

I finally finished one of the last three requested death dolls and half of another monkey-key last night!  I was very surprised at how fast one of my monkey-key’s sold so I had to make another one in the same multicolored yarn.  Pics of both the already sold monkey-key and death doll are posted in the gallery.

On another note, I just realized that I also forgot to post the picture my husband took of me & Jennifer (the CultGrrrl Creations donation recipient).  She asked that I hold up the poster she made to inform people of the walk.  I know I’ve said it before but it was really a great feeling to make the donation and I can’t wait to walk again!!

Anyhoo, I will be posting more pictures of my progress and should have a few new designs coming soon!  I also want to get on adding another video tutorial and / or free pattern soon as well.

Excuses, Excuses…

Shame on me!  I have been so far behind on my crochet work it’s unreal!  I feel like all I’ve been doing lately is giving excuses on why I haven’t finished this or that project.  Well, no more! I’ve decided to buckle down and get to work   I’m one determined little lass, HA!  I will finish the death dolls and hackey sacks this week (if it’s the last thing I do).  I have quite a few new projects lined up that I really want to get started on.

To my defense though, I have been working on some “behind the scenes” boring business stuff for CultGrrrl Creations.  I recently got myself a new code for anyone with a smart phone bar-code scanner app.  By just the click of a button (or two…depending on your phone) you will now be able to spread the CultGrrrl Creations website and contact information to all your friends   Check it out!

Getting There

So of course, as I thought, life was going to get in the way of my crochet time   I was hoping to have my four death dolls and a monkey complete by Friday of last week but as you can tell by my lack of posts, that didn’t happen.  I did complete one death doll (but I’m still waiting 24 hours for the glue on his scythe to completely dry) and I’m halfway finished with the monkey.  That one is coming out VERY cute!  I might even add a banana to it for good measure

I got a request for some hackey sacks that I can’t wait to really focus on.  I have the idea and design, it’s just a matter of finding the time to get them done.  Also on the list is an evil clown.  That one is going to be MAJOR fun to work on!

Updates Coming Soon :)

I’m hoping to have a few new items added to my Etsy store in the coming days.  I know I’ve said it before, but things have been extremely busy on this end.  I FINALLY finished a big project at work (sort of).  I still have a few little tweaks here and there but for the most part it is finished

I have been getting quite a few requests for the death doll and the barn owl, so be on the look out for those to be added very soon.  I should also have a few new designs to debut as well (which I’m pretty excited about!).

I better get back to work!
