I’ve found that if I write out (or type out in this instance) a list of “Things to Do”, I seem to accomplish everything on said list. With that being said, here is my list of “Things To Do” this week:
- Finish up, photograph, and post new “LB” design [gonna be SUPER CUTE]
- Begin work on new “super secret” design hehe
- Drop off more dolls at Space Montrose YAY!
- Finish up ALL commission items
- Work on inventory for upcoming Discovery Green Flea on May 19th
It seems I have my work cut out for me EEK! Better get to it!

Well, it seems as though I accidentally (mistakenly) changed a setting on my gallery and no one was able to view any of my pictures. I fixed it and it is now available. Please feel free to contact me if you have any other issues with the website

Talk about a whirlwind week! Beginning last Friday at the Avon Walk For Breast Cancer check in, I’ve been on go, non-stop. I can’t even begin to explain how much fun it is to participate in the walk! I am a little disappointed in myself as I was only able to complete 21 miles on Saturday *sigh* I did very minimal training this year and could definitely feel it. That won’t happen again next year
Oh yeah btw, I signed up again for next year hehe. I was able to finish the 13.1 miles on Sunday and was pretty proud of that. That Sunday definitely lived up to it’s name…it was super SUNNY. I had sunblock on but still managed to get sun burned on my right neck shoulder area. Why there is beyond me???
I took vacation time from my day job to rest (yeah right!) and to have time to create more inventory for the Houston International Festival. I am so glad I did that. I was up bright and early every morning with hook in hand and still almost didn’t have enough dolls. I came up with a new version of a monkey for my collection.
This one is red / black with black bat wings. He came out super cute & a little dark (just like me HA!). I will have to work up another one to get professional pictures for the Etsy shop but my hubby got one from his cell camera.
I have a ton of ideas flowing around my crazy lil’ head. I will begin drawing & working them up in the coming weeks. I should have some new doll designs ready for the Discovery Green Flea on May 19th. Stay tuned…

I just want to send out a huge THANK YOU to each and every person who has helped me reach my fundraising goal for the 2012 Houston Avon Walk for Breast Cancer! Whether it be by purchasing a doll from CultGrrrl Creations, coming out to a fundraising event, donating money, or just re-posting links to my fundraising page, WE DID IT
Now comes the easy part…walking 39.3 miles this weekend. I’d like to invite anyone in the area to come out and experience this weekend with all of us. There will be various cheering stations throughout the walk route that really help push us walkers to “just keep swimming”. More information can be found at this location.
I will be tweeting updates from the CultGrrrl Creations Twitter page, so please feel free to sign up and again THANK YOU for all your support!

As you may be well aware, I’ve been raising funds for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer these past few months / weeks. I decided to make a Pink Monkey in honor the walk. I sold these monkeys at the last fundraiser we held at That Pizza Place on Ella in Houston and a friend was kind enough to share a photo of her new found buddy

Because of my training for the walk (I will be walking 39.3 miles in a two day span) and trying to get my stock ready for the Houston International Festival, I have been a little behind on commissions :-\ I finally finished a beard beanie! It came out super cute and I’m sure I will have to add these to my regular rotation of items (especially during the fall / winter seasons). My son was kind enough to “model” off the beanie for me. Introducing Brown Beard Cyrus…
