Crafty Chica Market Tote Project [Part 1]

So I was lucky to receive a Market Tote from Crafty Chica in the mail last week.

Market Tote Project
I received this complimentary Market Tote from as part of the Crafty Chica Design Team, was asked to share an original DIY project.

As luck would have it, I wasn’t able to actually get started on this new project until today so in the interest of keeping up with deadlines (and because I’ve been eager to get started), I decided to show my progress with the project in a few different parts.

As you can see in the picture above, I grabbed a handful of different complimenting Puffy® Paint colors (red, navy blue, turquoise, yellow, purple, gold glitter and confetti glitter).  I followed the outline of the sugar skull with different paint colors and now I’m waiting for them to dry.

Once the paint is dried I will add a few of my own paisley and other designs to the white space using a black permanent fabric marker and color those designs in with more Puffy® Paint.

Of course, I can’t have a project that doesn’t have some sort of crochet incorporated to it, now can I?  I will leave that final step a mystery…for now 😉
